Barbara A. Levenson
Barbara A. Levenson, 84, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, died on 17 July 2018. The Funeral was A PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE on Friday, 20 July 2018. Family members include: Beloved wife of the late Norman Levenson. Cherished mother of David Levenson, Shelley (William) Goldsmith, and Marcia Levenson. Loving grandmother of Jacob Gale, Genevieve Gale, Marisa Goldsmith and Sintayehu Levenson. Dear sister of Thomas Regan and the late Elizabeth Wiseman. Barbara Levenson was a true creative spirit. She loved to dance and spent much of her life honing her craft as a dancer, dance teacher and choreographer. Her professional training included time with Lucas Howing, the Jose Limon Dance Company and the Ballet Theater School in New York City. She performed with the Severo Ballet, The Detroit City Ballet and Paul Sanasardo. She taught at Marygrove College, The Jewish Community Center and Paradigm Dance Theater where she performed to critical acclaim. In her later years, she found creative expression through painting, which she did with true dedication. She will be remembered as a caring wife and friend and as a nurturing mother and grandmother. She touched everyone she met with her gentle way and her huge heart. It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Barbara A.
