Blanche Cohen
Blanche Cohen, 99, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, died on 04 July 2018. The Funeral was GRAVESIDE-OUT OF STATE on Friday, 06 July 2018 at 10:30 AM . Interment at Beth Moses Cemetery in New York.
Family members include: Beloved wife of the late Samuel Cohen. Cherished mother of Joel (Jinkie Pedroza) Cohen, Linda (Richard) Greene and Devorah Cohen. Loving grandmother of Sharon (Logan Kibens) Cohen, Rebecca (Kyle) Morse, Rashi Cohen, Shoshana Freeman and Sammy Cohen. Also survived by Rashi and Shoshana's father Ari Freeman. Adoring great-grandmother of Lion, Judah & Zephyr Morse and Max & Kai Kibens. The family will be gathering at the residence of Linda & Richard Greene, 3300 East Delhi, Ann Arbor MI 48103. The phone number is (734) 662-2029. Religious services will be conducted at 7:00 Monday and Tuesday evenings. Blanche was a great lover of knowledge and education, especially literature and art history and sought to imbue these values in her family. She was a fierce scrabble competitor and in her last years shared many hours of jigsaw puzzle, word search and solitaire with us. In her prime in Huntington, Long Island she was active in The Anti-Defamation League, B’nai B’rith, ORT and Hadassah. Her years in NYC were spent as a docent at Yeshiva University Museum. Her 29 years in Ann Arbor were spent enjoying her family, University Women’s Book Club, the bridge group she founded, U of M extension lectures, the JCC Seniors and concerts. Her deepest wish of 45 years to rejoin her husband Sam has now been granted.
