Family members include:
Esther was the beloved wife of 56 years of the late Sidney Pollick. Cherished mother of Mark (Lori) Pollick, John (Yuan) Pollick, and Marissa (Elizabeth Ritt) Pollick. Adoring grandmother of Lauren Pollick, Jeffrey Pollick, Rebecca Pollick, and Thomas Pollick. Devoted daughter of the late Max and Rebecca Stulberg. Predeceased by older brothers Julius, Morris, and Sam Stulberg, and sisters-in-law Esther, Charlotte, and Sarah Stulberg. Sister-in-law of Jackie (the late Zolman) Cavitch and Sue Stulberg. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Esther was born and raised in Marshall, Michigan, the youngest child and only daughter of Jewish immigrant parents Max and Rebecca Stulberg. The Stulbergs at the time were the only Jewish family in the community. She attended Marshall High School where she gained life-long friends as well as the affectionate nickname “Tiz”. She went on to graduate from the University of Michigan in 1948, where she was a literature and arts major and active in the University’s speech and theatre program. While attending Michigan, Tiz met fellow student and U.S. Army veteran Sid Pollick in a Shakespeare class, when Sid strategically asked if he could borrow a pencil. Tiz and Sid married in 1949, and resided in Ann Arbor while Sid completed UM Law School.

Tiz and Sid shared a wonderful love story and marriage for 56 years until his death in 2005. They raised 3 children in Huntington Woods - Mark, John, and Missy - each of whom became lawyers. Tiz performed in local community theatre, volunteered for Democratic causes, and served as precinct delegate. She did post-graduate studies in education but decided to forego a career to be a full-time homemaker for her husband and children. Tiz was a talented classical pianist, gourmet cook, loved books, music, and the arts, spoke fluent Yiddish, and together with Sid was an avid golfer and sports fan, particularly the University of Michigan Wolverines. Her primary love was her family and that love was reciprocated throughout her extended Stulberg and Cavitch families. Tiz will be remembered for her elegant style, humor, and grace and will be greatly missed by all.
