Myron "Mike" Handelsman
Myron "Mike" Handelsman, 93, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 29 March 2018. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Monday, 02 April 2018 at 10:30 AM . Rabbi Paul Yedwab officiated. Click  to watch a video of the recorded service.Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
The family of Myron "Mike" Handelsman will be gathering through the evening of Tuesday, April 03 at the residence of Julie and Lawrence August, 4500 Dow Ridge Rd, Orchard Lake MI 48324. The family will be gathering on Monday immediately following the interment and also on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Family members include: Beloved husband of 66 years of Gloria Handelsman. Cherished father of Lori (Robert) Russell and Julie (Lawrence) August. Loving grandpa of Lindsay (Daniel) Vazquez, Sarah Russell (Eric Stininger), Melanie August, and Allison August (Andre Lofrano). Proud great-grandfather of Hazel Stininger. Adored brother of Herbert (Norma) Handelsman and the late Faye (the late Oscar) Katz. Mike proudly served in the Army Air Corp, in the Pacific theater during WWII as a radar operator and mechanic. As a result he became a Ham Radio operator and enjoyed this hobby his entire life. He went to Wayne State University playing in both the marching band and the concert band, and played clarinet in the Novi Concert Band up until his last performance, December 2017. Mike was quite the handyman, and was always willing to help someone in need. He will be remembered for his big smile, endless jokes, and love for his family.
