Dorothy Podolsky
Dorothy Podolsky, 94, of Detroit, Michigan, died on 17 January 2018. The Funeral was held at The David Oppenheim Memorial Chapel at Machpelah Cemetery, 21701 Woodward Ave, Ferndale, MI 48220 on Sunday, 21 January 2018 at 1:00 PM . Rabbi Joseph Krakoff officiated. The family of Dorothy Podolsky will be gathering through the evening of Sunday, January 21 at the residence, 19000 Fairway Drive, Detroit MI 48221. The phone number is 313-862-4671. Friends are welcome to visit on Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Religious services will be held on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Dorothy was a proud member of the Detroit Golf Club for over 40 years, and enjoyed membership privileges at the Village Club, the Detroit Boat Club, and the Women's City Club of Detroit. Dorothy had a wonderfully witty mind, an energetic and athletic body, and a caring and giving heart - characteristics that endeared her in the hearts of everyone. A perfect day for her was 18 holes with her family at the Detroit Golf Club followed by hosting a dinner for her nieces and nephews and their children and friends. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Seymour Podolsky. She is survived by her children, Susan Podolsky of Alexandria, Virginia, and Jeffrey Podolsky of New York, and a slew of loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and close friends. Her energy, loving soul and wit will be missed forever.
