Irving H. Steinberg, 99, of Commerce Township, Michigan, died on 01 December 2017.

The Funeral was held at The Davidson/Hermelin Chapel at Clover Hill Park, 2425 14 Mile Rd, Birmingham MI 48009 on Sunday, 03 December 2017 at 3:00 PM .

Rabbi Daniel Syme and Cantor Penny Steyer officiated.

The family of Irving H. Steinberg will be gathering through the evening of Monday, December 04 at the residence of David and Joyce Steinberg, 1485 Vanstone Drive, Commerce Township MI 48382. The phone number is 248-363-2541.

The family will gather on Sunday immediately following the interment and on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Religious services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and Monday evenings.

Family members include:
Beloved husband of the late Shirley Ruth Steinberg and the late Shirley Lewis Steinberg. Cherished father of Margie (Barry) Wiener and David (Joyce) Steinberg. Proud grandfather of Stephanie (fiance Jake Serwer) Steinberg and Lindsay Steinberg. Loving brother of Muriel (Elihu Brooks) Wetsman-Brooks and the late Gerald (the late Phyllis) Steinberg. Dear brother-in-law of the late William Wetsman. Devoted son of the late Julius and the late Belle Steinberg. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Steinberg was a graduate of Central High School and Wayne State. He was drafted in 1941 before Pearl Harbor and served at Utah Beach Normandy invasion on D-Day and at the Battle of the Bulge as a Major. He was awarded the Bronze Star and 6 Battle Stars. He and his brother, Gerry Steinberg, owned Abso-Clean Chemical Company in Detroit for over 40 years. He was an avid golfer and member of Tam O Shanter Country Club for over 40 years. He was a big fan of University of Michigan sports.
