FUNERAL DETAILS
Leonard G. SiegalLeonard G. Siegal, 93, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, died after sunset on 22 November 2017. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Friday, 24 November 2017 at 12:00 PM . The family of Leonard G. Siegal will be gathering through the evening of Wednesday, November 29 at the residence, 31054 Oak Valley Drive, Farmington Hills Mi 48331. The phone number is 248-661-1989. Religious Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Friends are welcome immediately following the burial at Clover Hill through Friday afternoon, and friends are welcome Sunday through Wednesday beginning at 1:00 P.M. Born in Detroit in 1924, Leonard graduated Cass Technical High School and was immediately drafted to fight in WW II. He served as an artillery reconnaissance officer and was awarded the Bronze Star during the Battle of the Bulge. He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan College of Architecture which began his 65 year architecture practice as the founder of Siegal-Tuomaala Associates, retiring only months before his death. Leonard was an active member of Adat Shalom Synagogue, serving in many leadership positions, and he was a fixture at the JCC Health Club for over 60 years. Well into his 70’s, he ran circles around guys half his age. Leonard’s towering intellect and uncompromising integrity earned the respect and admiration of everyone who knew him. He died exactly like he lived; fully in control and on his own terms. He spent his last days comfortably in the home that he designed and built, surrounded by his family and profoundly grateful for his many blessings. He is survived by his beloved wife Bluma (Sussman), his sons Allen Siegal, Barry(Batya) Siegal, Eric (Jeanne Howard) Siegal and David (Sara)Siegal, his grandchildre, Ariel (Laura) Siegal, Liran Siegal, Julia Siegal and Aaron (Siegal), and his great-grandson Boaz. They loved him deeply and will miss him terribly. It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Leonard G.
