Oscar Band



Oscar Band, 99, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 12 November 2017.

The Funeral was held at The Davidson/Hermelin Chapel at Clover Hill Park, 2425 14 Mile Rd, Birmingham MI 48009 on Tuesday, 14 November 2017 at 3:00 PM .

Rabbi Joseph Krakoff and Cantor Neil Michaels officiated.

The family of Oscar Band will be gathering through the evening of Thursday, November 16 at the residence, 2092 Rhine Court, West Bloomfield Mi 48323. The phone number is 248-851-8579.

Religious Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Evenings.

Family members include:
Beloved husband of 23 1/2 years of Adele Gaba Band; Father of Alan (Mary) Band and Stanley (the late Samantha) Band; Loving grandpa of Michael (Kariann) Band; Also survived by Adele's children and grandchildren, Paul Gaba, Miriam (Brian) Halprin and Charles (Elisabeth) Gaba; grandchildren, Joshua Halprin, Samuel Halprin and Lionel Gaba; Brother of the late Rebecca (the late Philip) Orrin, the late Dorothy (the late Nathan) Bernstein and the late Bernard (the late Ann Sak) Kantor; Brother-in-law of Israel and Irene Kleinbard; Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and his many loving caregivers; Oscar survived his devoted and loving Leader Dog, Mello.

Oscar Band began his career as a builder and developer. Following his building career, Oscar began his career as a Stock Broker working for Lehman Brothers was he worked the balance of his working life.
