Betty Nederlander, 76, of Franklin, died on 16 September 2009.
A Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Thursday, 17 September 2009 at 12:30 PM.
Rabbi Chaim Bergstein officiated.
Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

Beloved wife of Fred Nederlander. Loving mother of David(Myriam)Nederlander, Liz(Dan)Coden, Amy Nederlander, Lisa(Nick)Nederlander-Robinson. Proud grandmother of Freddy "Moti" Nederlander, Lauren, Jacqueline and Ben Coden, Tyler and Olivia Case and Betty Robinson. Cherished sister of Florence Lipton, Eileen(Marvin)Goldman and the late Edward Ferentz.
A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, she was married for 54 years to her beloved Fred and not a day went by without an "I Love You". Mrs. Nederlander was respected for her brilliance of warmth, kindness and gentleness to all. Previously a second grade elementary school teacher, Mrs. Nederlander was a member of Hadassah and Franklin Hills Country Club. In her youth, she swam for the AAU, and while raising her children, she was an active PTA board member, Room Mother and Girl Scout Leader. Betty was an active tennis and bridge player throughout her years and also a lover of classical music including Mozart and Bach. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her, especially to those whom she loved and adored.
Due to the High Holy Day of Rosh Hashanah, the family will formally observe the shiva period till 4:15 PM on Friday with religious services being held at 6:00 PM on Thursday evening at the residence, 27341 Willowgreen Court, Franklin, MI 48025.
