Edward Grant



Edward Grant, 68, of Lansing, Michigan, died on 17 April 2024.

The Funeral was held at GRAVESIDE on Friday, 19 April 2024 at 3:00 PM .

Rabbi Marla Hornsten officiated.

The family of Edward Grant will be gathering through the evening of Sunday, April 21 at the residence of Carolyn and Greg Normandin, 4269 Somerville Drive, West Bloomfield MI 48323.

Family and friends will be gathering on Friday immediately following the interment until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 3:00-8:00 p.m.

Religious services will be held at 7:00 on Sunday evening.

Edward Steven Grant, 68, of Lansing, Michigan, died surrounded by loving family on April 17, 2024.

Eddie was married to his beloved wife Lynne Wallace Grant for 42 years. He was a devoted brother to Carolyn (Greg) Normandin, Dr. Don (Felicia) Grant, Aaron (Dorothee) Grant, Dr. Eva (Chris) Granthein and the late David Grant. He was the dear “Unc” of Danny (Jessica) Normandin, Josh Normandin, Rachel (Morgan) Cecilio, Sydney Grant, Isobel Grant, Emmy and Clara Grant, Lilly and Ellie Granthein. He was great-uncle to Olivia and Arielle Normandin. He was the son of the late Ernest Grant and Phyllis Grant Monroe, and the son-in-law of Carolyn and the late Gerald Wallace.

Eddie was born in Detroit on October 6, 1955,and grew up in Livonia, Michigan. He attended Clarenceville High School and graduated from Michigan State University in 1979. He remained an avid Spartan fan his entire life.Go GREEN!

Eddie was outgoing and he made friends easily with his zest for life and comfortable sense of humor. He loved music, as well as playing and watching sports. A gifted bowler, Eddie bowled a perfect game of 300 in 2005, and participated in 30 consecutive national tournaments.He loved to go deep sea fishing in Cancun, and he and Lynne walked Michigan’s Mackinac Bridge on Labor Daymore than 15 times.
