Ruth Sood Zack
Ruth Sood Zack, 90, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 12 August 2017. The Funeral was held at The David Oppenheim Memorial Chapel at Machpelah Cemetery, 21701 Woodward Ave, Ferndale, MI 48220 on Tuesday, 15 August 2017 at 1:00 PM . Rabbi Harold Loss officiated. The family of Ruth Sood Zack will be gathering through the evening of Tuesday, August 15 at the residence of All Seasons of West Bloomfield, 5600 Drake Road, West Bloomfield MI 48322. Immediately following interment, the family will gather at the residence for shiva through Tuesday evening. Family members include: Beloved wife of 68 years of Albert Zack; Dear mother of Dr. Paul (Judith) Zack of Okemos, Cynthia Zack (Alfred Mirakovits) of Grand Blanc, Suzanne Zack (Thomas Bell) of Grand Rapids and the late Michelle Linda Zack; Proud grandmother of David Zack, Steven (Theresa) Zack, Sarah Sullivan (Mark Bowden), Lisa Lopata (Eric), Joshua Bell and Jennifer Bell. Loving great-grandmother of Paige and Evangeline Zack. She leaves many loving nephews and nieces as well as other family members. Survived by brother-in-law Edward Zack of Tampa. Ruth was a school librarian in Detroit and Livonia. She had a passion for reading and was a long-time member of book discussion groups at the Farmington and West Bloomfield Public Libraries. She was a life member of Hadassah and the National Council of Jewish Women. Her volunteer activities included Meals on Wheels and the Brandeis University Book Sale.
