Melvin Barnett, 89, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, died on 08 July 2017. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Monday, 10 July 2017 at 2:00 PM . Rabbi Harold Loss and Cantor Neil Michaels officiated. Click  to watch a video of the recorded service.Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

Family members include: Beloved husband of 65 years of the late Marilyn Barnett; Cherished father of Rhona (Alan) Gorosh and Ken (Mari) Barnett; Loving grandpa of Kasie (Nathan) Brill, Emily (Brandon) Pomish, Alex (Jordon) Wertheimer and Jake (fiancee Madeline Morrison) Barnett; Proud great-grandpa of Nora Pomish and Everly Wertheimer; brother-in-law of Dr. Donald (the late Rosalie) Schiff and Renee (Larry Zissman) Schiff; An only child, Mel considered his first cousin and best friend, Marvin Sheplow to be his brother.
