Iris Czajkowski, 80, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 25 October 2016. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Friday, 28 October 2016 at 2:00 PM . Rabbi Aaron Bergman officiated. The family of Iris Czajkowski will be gathering through the evening of Sunday, October 30 at the residence of Ailene Corlin and Sam Simko, 8522 Hummingbird, Commerce MI 48382. The phone number is 248-330-2781. The family will be gathering Friday immediately following the interment service. On Saturday from 2-8:00 P.M. and on Sunday from 2-8:00 P.M. with religious services at 7:00 P.M. Sunday evening. Family members include: Beloved wife of the late Fred Czajkowski. Cherished mother Ailene Corlin (Sam Simko). Loving grandmother of Melanie Corlin, Justin Corlin, and Carly Simko. Dear sister of Adrienne Labowitch. Loving nieces and nephews Aimee (Scott) Lamb, Hardy Labowitch, the late Robert Labowitch, Alan (Anita) Resnick, Rhonda (Paul) Rochlen & Debbie Cohen (Andy Pass). Also survived by Fred's children & grandchildren along with her dear friend Robert Corlin. My mom lived to be a teacher and was proud of all of her accomplishments. Especially that she made an impression on so many kids in West Bloomfield 1966-1988 at Green, Doherty, and OLMS. She was an accomplished artist selling her art at galleries in the area and earning awards at local art shows. She was a graduate from Cass Tech HS and the University of Michigan class of 1958. She was an avid football fan watching U of M and the Lions every weekend. She was full of spunk, drive and love. She taught us very well.
