Cherished father of Susan (David) Frankel, Karen Holtzman (Tom Gardon), and Daniel (Arlene) Holtzman. Loving grandpa of Alexander Frankel, Emma Frankel, Joseph Holtzman, and Samuel Holtzman. Proud brother of Rosalie Sosnick (the late Jay), and the late Toby Holtzman. David B. Holtzman was born in 1934 in Detroit, Michigan. He worked in the family business, started by his father and uncle, as a builder of thousands of homes and apartments in the Detroit area, Southern Illinois, and Southern Indiana. He was a calm man with a sense of humor who was devoted to his family, loved classic cars, and took great pleasure in working with his hands: building, fixing, making. An enthusiastic art collector, classical music lover, and movie goer, David could also often be found tinkering with farm equipment at the property in Vermont, a place that is loved by the many friends and relatives who knew there was always an open invitation for a visit or stay. Friend to many and committed philanthropist, he was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by those who knew him. It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of David B.
