Joan Davidson, 82, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 02 July 2016. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Tuesday, 05 July 2016 at 1:00 PM . Rabbi Joshua Bennett and Cantor Neil Michaels officiated. Click  to watch a video of the recorded service.Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.
The family of Joan Davidson will be gathering through the evening of Tuesday, July 05 at the residence of Kim And Steven Friedman, 2496 Pontiac Drive, Sylvan Lake Mi 48320. Family members include: She was the loving wife of Stuart for 62 years, mother of Kim (Steven) Friedman, Kayli Davidson, Scott (Melissa) Davidson, Jon (Ellyn) Davidson. She adored her 12 grandchildren Brad Botham, Rob Botham, Juliann Botham, Justin Friedman (Fiancee Dani Devenson), Brad Friedman, Ricki Friedman, Taylor Davidson, Burke Davidson, Hunter Davidson, Lacey Davidson, Brett Davidson and Seth Davidson. Joan is the cherished daughter of the late Aaron and the late Marilyn Karabelnick. She is also survived by her sister Susan Karabelnick (the late Leonard) Ablecop. Joan leaves behind a world of friends whom she loved like family. Joan was kind and giving, and loved hosting large family dinners where everyone was always welcome in her Huntington Woods home, a home she shared with Stuart for 45 years. She loved to garden, read, visit museums and learn about history. She spent her summer and winter weekends in Northern Michigan skiing and boating, and loved nothing more than having a house full of people with her at their Northern Michigan Chalet. A graduate of University of Michigan, Joan worked for many years as a myofascial functional therapist in Stuart's dental office.
