Harry Gold of Troy, died on 28 August 2015.

The Funeral was held at Graveside on Tuesday, 01 September 2015 at 10:00 AM .

Rabbi Tamara Kolton officiated.

Family members include:
Beloved husband of 52 years of Patricia Michael Gold. Cherished father of David Michael Gold. Dear brother of Jack (the late Shirley) Gold, the late Robert Gold, and the late Herman (the late Fran) Gold. Uncle of William (Gail) Gold and Patty (Andrew) Freedman.

May 8, 1928 - August 28, 2015.
Harry Gold, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, Professor of Sociology - Oakland University. Age 87. Harry worked for the Detroit City Planning Commission and the Washtenaw County Planning Commission. Harry received his undergrad degree from Wayne State University and his Masters and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. Harry worked for the American Institute of Planners in Washington D.C. Harry taught at Rutgers University, Southern Illinois University, and Oakland University. He also taught courses at MIT, University of Michigan, Central Michigan University, and University of Michigan - Dearborn. He was a Korean War Veteran. Harry was on the board of the Southfield Symphony and wrote the program notes for the concerts. He wrote three textbooks in Urban Sociology which were used at many Colleges and Universities in the United States, Canada, Scotland, and other countries.
