Dear brother of Jean (Joe) Middleton On February 14, 2015, the family of John Waidley announced the establishment of a memorial fund in his honor to support the English as a Second Language (ESL) Program and Employment Services at Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County (JFS). John spent many hours volunteering as an ESL tutor and conversational partner at JFS. As a kind mentor and supportive friend, John enjoyed helping immigrants re-establish their lives and overcome terrible adversities. He cared deeply for all of his students and treated them with the utmost respect. John strongly believed that as children and grandchildren of immigrants, we have a moral obligation to help the new generations of immigrants who continue to find refuge in our country. JFS is profoundly grateful for John?s kindness and his time spent volunteering with us, and is proud to help honor his memory. It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of John W.
