Morris "Andy" Weiss
Morris "Andy" Weiss, 104, died on 13 February 2015. The Funeral was A PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE on Sunday, 15 February 2015. Rabbi Jennifer Kaluzny officiated. Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
The family of Morris "Andy" Weiss will be gathering through the evening of Sunday, February 15 at the residence of Donna and Allan Apple, 6724 Oyster Cove, West Bloomfield MI 48323. The phone number is 248-681-8995. Friends are welcome to visit the shiva residence beginning at 3:30 PM Sunday afternoon through the evening. Family members include: Andy is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Ilene & Ronald Fruitman, Donna & Allan Apple. He is also survived by his wife, Lenore Dunsky Weiss and her childRen, Robert and Harriet Dunsky. Grandchildren, Richard Fruitman & Alexandra Sayers-Potter; Jackie Fruitman Cohen & Art Cohen; Michael and Francie Fruitman; Julie & Steve Plotnik, Jill & Jay Rupp, Brian & Shawna Apple, Drew (Jodi) Dunsky & Dan Dunsky. Great Grandchildren: Jake & Jordan Plotnik, Noa & Talya Apple, Zimin & Natan Cohen and Starla Belle Fruitman. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ethel Gottlieb Weiss. Morris "Andy" Weiss, better known as "Super Papa", received many honors during his lifetime for his volunteer services to JARC, Jewish Senior Life, JVS Senior Service Corps and SCORE. He also received the 8 over 80 award. He was also honored twice by the State of Michigan for his volunteer work. THE FAMILY IS REQUESTING DUE TO THE REAL DANGER POSED BY 30 DEGREE BELOW ZERO WINDCHILL FACTOR, RATHER THAN COMING TO THE CEMETERY, PLEASE JOIN THE FAMILY AT THE APPLE RESIDENCE WHERE THERE WILL A TRUE CELEBRATION OF A LONG LIFE WELL LIVED.
