He was, above all, a family man who was extremely proud of his two children Steve Yarows, MD and Cindy Yarows Schurgin, MBA. He departs this world to be with his beloved wife Libby, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Yarows was a World War II veteran who served in Okinawa, then returned to Detroit to start a family and a career in the insurance industry. Seymour is survived by his son Steven (Karen) of Ann Arbor, MI, daughter Cindy (Art) Schurgin of Phoenix, AZ, Grandchildren Daniel Schurgin of Phoenix, AZ and Kevin and Kristen Yarows of Ann Arbor, MI, sister, Betty (Jack) Pearlman of Sun City, AZ, brother Terry (Madelon) Yarows of Phoenix, AZ, sister-in-law, Annette Schweitzer of Camarillo,CA and many nieces and nephews.

A dedicated family man, Seymour was known for his great sense of humor, lighting up the lives of family, friends and pretty much anyone he came in contact with, especially strangers. He had a knack of making friends wherever he went. Even when he was critically ill and near the end, he never lost his sense of humor. On the day before his passing he quipped to his nurse: "If I knew dying was this hard, I wouldn't do it!"

It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Seymour Yarows may do so by making a contribution to:
