13 Honorably Discharged U.S. Veterans13 Honorably Discharged U.S. Veterans died. The Memorial Service was held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442 on Thursday, 11 September 2014 at 11:30 AM . Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
On 9/11/2014, on the 13th anniversary of the day of horror, 13 honorably discharged veterans will be laid to rest with full Military Honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. The 13 burials will be the final act of providing dignity and respect to the almost 200 unclaimed bodies that were unclaimed at the Wayne County Morgue. Thanks to the generosity of the Jewish Fund and the volunteer efforts of members of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association, including the Ira Kaufman Chapel.
