Eric Kommel
Eric Kommel, 62, of Troy, Michigan, died on 25 April 2014. The Memorial Service was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Sunday, 27 April 2014 at 2:00 PM . Rabbi Daniel Syme officiated. The family of Eric Kommel will be gathering through the evening of Tuesday, April 29 at the residence of Dr. Herbert and Margot Gardner, 2380 E. Hammond Lake, Bloomfield Hills MI 48302. The family will be gathering on Sunday immediately following the service and on Monday and Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. Religious services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday evening. Family members include: Beloved husband of 38 years of Patti Kommel. Cherished father of Blair (Keith) Krueger. Proud grandfather of Kyle Krueger. Loving brother of Debra (William) Wichterman and Jody Kommel. Devoted son of Eve and the late Dr. Richard Kommel. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Eric was a lifetime member of Great Lakes Yacht Club. He was an avid sailor who participated in 32 Bayview Port Huron/Mackinac races and served 15 years on the finish line as a race official.
