Lorraine Merkovitz, 83, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Drayton Plains, MI, died on 20 January 2014. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Thursday, 23 January 2014 at 2:00 PM . The family of Lorraine Merkovitz will be gathering through the evening of Sunday, January 26 at the residence of Janis and Larry Shulman, 30981 Westwood, Farmington Hills MI 48331. The phone number is 248-788-1356. Religious services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday evenings. The family has requested that visiting begin at 1 PM on Sunday. Family members include: Beloved wife of 64 years of Irving Merkovitz. Cherished mother of Janis (Larry) Shulman, Jill (Randy) Coleman, Gail (Steve) Guth and Denise (the late Ed) Poznanski. Loving grandmother of Brian (Rachel) Shulman, Julie Shulman, Michael Shulman, Ben, Adam and Cori Coleman, Hannah and Alana Guth, and Alex and Brad Poznanski. Dear sister of the late Franklin (the late Gail) Gettleson. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
