Family members include:
Beloved husband of 66 years of Mildred Kaye. Cherished father of Barbara Kaye (John Hogikyan) and the late Diane Lynn Kaye. Loving grandfather of Laura and Allison Hogikyan. Father-in-law of Irving Shapiro.

Charles Kaye was a CPA and founded Charles Kaye & Co. and built the practice for approximately 50 years. The practice was sold to Boyes Wright and Pittman which was subsequently acquired by Rhemann. Charles retired 2 years ago at 86. Charles was a World War 11 veteran who received the French Legion of Honor-the highest distinction France can bestow on those who have achieved remarkable deeds for France. He received 3 Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart Medal, a Markmanship Award and a Good Conduct Medal. He enlisted (requiring his mother's consent because of his age) on December 5, 1942 and served 3 years in the 4th Infantry. He served in Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe, was in the 2nd wave of Normandy landings, the Battle of the Bulge and was injured in the Heurtken forest. Charles was trained in a foreign language at Michigan State through the army. During the occupation, he was assigned to military government detachment as an interpreter of German. He interrogated Nazi Party members and suspect party members for allied military government. He served until December 30, 1945, returned and married his beloved wife Mildred 6 days later. They were married 66 years.

The family has requested contributions in lieu of flowers.
