Babs KaufmanBabs Kaufman, 83, of Franklin, Michigan and LaQuinta, California, died on 27 February 2012. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Tuesday, 06 March 2012 at 2:30 PM . Religious Services will be held at 7:30 PM. Tuesday and Wednesday Evenings. Family members include: Beloved Wife of 64 years of Herbert Kaufman; Cherished Mother of Dr. Joseph "Bud" and Judy Kaufman, Ilene and David Techner and the late Patricia "Patty" Kaufman Dube; Loving Grandmother of Josh Kaufman and Nicole Israel, Carly and Robert Vollero, Jenna Kaufman, Ari and Ashley Techner, Chad Techner and Whitney Brown, Stephanie Techner and Zachary Burkhead, Annie Dube and the late Alicia Joy Techner; Proud Great Grandmother of Milo and Dahlia Techner and William Kaufman; Devoted Daughter of the late Saul and the late Anne Kopman; Sister of the late Lt. J.G. Joseph "Bud" Kopman; Daughter in law of the late Ira Kaufman, the late Florence Kaufman and the late Rose Grace Kaufman; Sister in Law of Nathan Feldman, the late Charlotte Feldman, the late Jean and the late Gerald Sucher; Also survived by Otto Dube, nieces nephews and a world of friends; In 1967, Babs and Herb welcomed Kees Gorter, a Dutch exchange student. For almost 45 years, Kees, his wife Monica, their three children and granddaughter have nourished and maintained a special bond with the Kaufman family. Babs Kaufman Chaired Meals on Wheels for National Council of Jewish Women for many years as well as the Treasurer of the Brandeis Book Sale; Babs was an avid golfer, and a 60 year member of the Women's District Golf Association.
