Dr. Sander Klein, 93, of West Bloomfield, MI and Palm Beach Gardens, FL, died on 22 February 2012. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Friday, 24 February 2012 at 11:30 AM . The family of Dr. Sander Klein will be gathering through the afternoon of Saturday, February 25 at the residence, 7302 Autumn Hill Dr., W. Bloomfield MI 48323. The phone number is 248-669-8220. The family will begin gathering on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Dr. Klein was born on February 24, 1918, in Detroit, MI, and is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Margot Klein, and his sons and daughters-in-law, Marshall and Manette Klein, Gary Klein, and Rodney and Alicia Klein as well as his 10 grandchildren, Morgan Klein, Devin Klein, Kyla Klein, Aaron Klein, Jacob Klein, Matthew Klein, Rachel Klein, David Klein, Morgan Kite and Maggie Kite. He is pre-deceased by his 2 younger brothers, Dr. Herman Klein and his wife, Sue Klein, of West Bloomfield, MI, and Myer Klein of Davie, Florida. He is survived by Myer’s wife, Maxine Klein of Tampa, Florida. Dr. Klein served in World War II as a physician and achieved the rank of Major. After being honorably discharged, Dr. Klein practiced internal medicine and endocrinology for over 50 years in the Metro Detroit Area. He practiced at Sinai, Mt. Carmel and Beaumont Hospitals. Dr. Klein also served as a Professor at Wayne State University, School of Medicine, and was published in many medical journals throughout his career. The Klein family are long term members of Temple Israel of West Bloomfield, MI.
