Dr. Sidney PrystowskyDr. Sidney Prystowsky, 93, of West Bloomfield, died after sunset on 12 January 2012. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Monday, 16 January 2012 at 10:30 AM . The family of Dr. Sidney Prystowsky will be gathering through the evening of Tuesday, January 17 at the residence, 4045 E. Hanover Ct., West Bloomfield MI 48323. The phone number is 248-855-4063. Religious Services will be held at 7:30 PM. Monday and Tuesday Evening. Family members include: Beloved husband of the late Grace Prystowsky. Cherished father of Alan Pryor, David Pryor, and Susan Trigger and 8 loving grandchildren. Dr. Sidney Prystowsky practiced Internal Medicine with specialties in Allergy and Immunology. In 2004, St. John Providence bestowed a Lifetime Achievement Award as a beloved staff member and teacher. A graduate of the College of Charleston, he was the Captain of the basketball team. He graduated in 1943 from the Medical University of South Carolina. He did his residency in Internal Medicine in Kings County, Brooklyn, N.Y., before returning to the Medical University in South Carolina. He was a Captain in the Medical Unit during the Korean conflict. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Prystowsky was board certified in Internal Medicine, Allergy and Immunology. A beloved Doctor throughout the St. John Providence system, he was known as a "Doctor's" Doctor.
