Dr. Joseph SluskyDr. Joseph Slusky, 93, of Southfield, Michigan, died on 14 October 2006. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Monday, 16 October 2006 at 1:30 PM . Rabbi Harold Loss officiated. Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
The family of Dr. Joseph Slusky will be gathering through the evening of Tuesday, October 17 at the residence of Barbara and Stan Bershad, 4824 Park Hill Ct., West Bloomfield Mi 48323. Family members include: Beloved Husband of the Late Pauline Slusky; Dear Father of Barbara(Stan)Bershad, Howard(Joan)Slusky and the Late Stephen J. SLusky; Loving Grandfather of Dr. Eric(Suzanne)Bershad, Jeffrey(Fiance Tara)Bershad, Amy Bershad, Ryan, Jacob, Nathan, Leah, Megan and David Slusky; Great Grandfather of Georgette Anna Bershad; Also Survived by his Loving Companion of 9 Years of Florence Gaynes; Brother of Dr. Gilbert(Merle)Slutzky and Shandy(Melvin)Small; Brother in Law of Murray and Helen Sherman. Dr. Joseph Slusky was an Adjunct Professor at the Wayne State University Medical School; He was awarded Outstanding Teacher for Psychiatric Residents at Sinai Hospital; Chairman of Department of Education for Curriculum Development for the Psychiatric Department at Wayne State University; Chairman of the Public Relations Department for Department of Psychiatry at Sinai Hospital; Taught at Wayne State University Department of Social Work; Past President of the Michigan Analytical Society.
