Mrs. Sophie FordonMrs. Sophie Fordon, 93, of Traverse City, Michigan, died on 04 August 2006. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Tuesday, 08 August 2006 at 1:30 PM . Rabbi Irving Schnipper officiated. Interment at Oakview Cemetery, 1032 N Main St, Royal Oak, MI 48067.
The family of Mrs. Sophie Fordon will be gathering through the evening of Tuesday, August 08 at the residence of Carl and Myra Gornbein, 5268 Wright Way East, West Bloomfield MI 48322. The phone number is (248) 661-2783. Religious services will be held at 7:30 Pm on Tuesday evening. The shiva house is located North of Maple, West off of Farmington Road onto Potomac Town and turn left onto Wright Way East. Family members include: Beloved wife of the late Marcus Fordon. Dear mother of Marjory(Bernard)Fettner, Paula(Victor)Skuratowicz and Alice Hansen. Loving mother-in-law of the late Charles Hansen. 9 Grandchildren. 11 Great Grandchildren. Devoted sister of Joseph(Talbot Waterman)Gifford, Carl(Myra)Gornbein, the late Abe Gornbein and the late Bernard Gornbein. Cherished sister-in-law of Reva Gornbein and the late Ida Gornbein.
