Family members include:
Beloved husband for almost 65 years of the late Mildred Kornheiser. Cherished father of Gwen Silverstein and Dr. Kenneth (Vicki Simmons-Kornheiser) Kornheiser. Loving grandfather of Karee (Mike) Strome and Stacey (Fred) Lusky. Proud great grandfather of Melissa and Jacob Strome, and Taylor and Jordyn Lusky. Dear brother of Rhoda (Ralph Perl) Shapiro. Brother-in-law of Gladys "Gaby" Davis. Also survived by many loving nieces nephews, family and friends.
He was a well-respected dentist who practiced nearly 60 years. He retired at 84, only because he broke his femur and could no longer stand for long hours. He also was known for his expertise in the investment world and had belonged to numerous investment groups. He tracked the stock market on his computer, keeping daily records of his portfolio.
Fishing was his passion. He had a boat on Lake St. Clair for over 60 years and until the past year went fishing every Wednesday and Saturday, weather permitting. The local fishing guides used to call him to find out where the best fishing spot was. He had a compassion for young children, disabled individuals, and seniors.
